Hello!

Has anyone seen or heard Shockwave Flash 9.0 r115 giving blue screen
(IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) due to the new video acceleration? I have had
two blue screens since I installed it, but I don't know if it is caused
by it for sure because they are very rare and random (see it happened
when using SeaMonkey and Flash).

Right now, I disabled Flash's video acceleration to see if it helps. I
never had this problem in the past. I was using single display and using
ther latest non-beta NVIDIA driver for my EVGA GeForce 7950 GT KO video
card (512 MB; PCIe).

Thank you in advance. Smile

it's because they can get in the carpool lane and pass up that line."

OK. Why would that matter for Flash video acceleration and cause
problems for them? FSAA is at off, but anisotropic is 16X by default. I
don't have problems in games when I use these features.

If you have FSAA or AF enabled in nVidia control panel, try turning them
off.

Because flash video acceleration was probably never tested at either Adobe
or nVidia.

This is just a shot in the dark, because FSAA and AF used to cause problems
with Java applets (don't ask me why...)

Of course, it could just be something weird with your alternative browser.
How well does Flash run inside Internet Explorer?

Really? Is it the same blue screens? Now to think about it, does this
also affect videos like DVDs? I recalled having blue screens (not sure
if they were the same ones) with WinDVD and PowerDVD if I use their
video accelerations. It is probably the same issue that I am having with
Flash videos too.

Don't know. I don't use IE. Smile It's hard to reproduce though. It's very
rare and random.
