Hi, I have a leadtek FX5900 card. I've upgraded my driver to the latest
version. In some games I'm getting graphics problems, some seem to jump
around and other graphics tear. I'm thinking these drivers are too advanced
for this older card and now have a lot of features for the newer cards that
I don't need. Would someone be kind enough to advise what version driver to
instal that would be good with this card, and possibly without the additions
for later card types. In other words, I just need the optimum drivers for
the FX5900.
thanks for any help,
nick

Running an FX5900 on 77.77 with no problems. Don't know if they are
'optimum' but it gets 1100 in 3d05 oclocked up to ultra settings and has run
faultlessly.

Many thanks for the tips. Had a thought and downloaded the latest DirectX
drivers and reinstalled. All appears to be stable again. Maybe DirectX
needed to be updated to suit the updated nVidia drivers?
cheers and thanks again for the help.

speaking of the FX5900 [mines an XT]...just how out of date is this card
now? It used be a top dog
card for it's price range. Is it becoming obsolete by now [for new computer
games etc?].

I have an PNY FX5900 in a P4 2.66/GA8-IPE1000G/F, using the 77.77 WHQL set,
no problems with them so far.
